you go to home page and pick a heading like general discussions, click on it, and then you will get another heading near the top of the page says "create thread".

a couple of quick things, no one can see your email address accept admin, though to YOU it will show your email address in your profile, so no need to worry, also you can add an avatar to your picture once you have registered as a member.
there are a LOT of topics on this site, so we can do politics, or non-politics, just look around and let me know by email what you think of this site.
